“As President of the Order of Lawyers of Rome, I address a warm welcome to all the attendants. On behalf of Rome lawyers, I am honored to host such distinguished speakers from Hartford.
As some of you maybe know, today is the first of two webinars, on the Legal Profession in Italy and in Connecticut. Today the speakers from Hartford will talk to our lawyers here in Rome, while on February 24, our speakers from Rome will talk to American lawyers in Connecticut.
It’s maybe the first time ever that two bar associations, from two different countries, organize a double event of such a kind. I thank Francesco Salimbeni for realizing this project. We are very proud of this cooperation and we aim to extend it to other projects, first of all promoting an exchange program, organizing internships for young lawyers in Connecticut and in Rome.
We believe in the internationalization of the legal profession. We believe in the friendship between Rome Lawyers and the colleagues from the Hartford County Bar Association, that is the oldest in the United States, and I send a warm greeting to its President, Tom Rechen.
We look forward to celebrate our cooperation in presence, as soon as the pandemic will allow it”
